"Low-dimensional Quantum Materials and Devices" Zhengzhou Key Laboratory

"Low-dimensional Quantum Materials and Devices" Zhengzhou Key Laboratory was founded in 2013 as the "Low-dimensional Quantum Materials Computing and Design Center". The laboratory relies on the first-level key discipline of "Physics" in Henan Province, and supports the construction task of the undergraduate major of "applied physics" and the master's program of "low-dimensional quantum physics and materials".

The laboratory pays attention to basic research and applied basic research, and in the long-term development and accumulation of the laboratory, three distinctive research directions have been formed in quantum materials: quantum material physics, micro-nano structure materials and devices, and surface modification and design of two-dimensional materials.

The total construction area of the laboratory is 860 square meters, the total amount of equipment assets is more than 18 million yuan, and the laboratory currently has a total of 29 scientific researchers, including 27 doctors and 2 masters. In terms of professional titles, there are 2 professors, 10 associate professors, 1 senior experimentalist, 15 lecturers and 1 experimentalist among the team members.

In the past three years, the laboratory has undertaken 7 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 provincial science and technology research projects and 3 key basic research projects of the Department of Education, 12 projects in cooperation with enterprises, and 3 international cooperation projects. The total fund of admission is more than 5 million yuan, and 63 scientific research papers have been published, of which 51 are included in SCI or EI. At present, 15 graduate students have been trained. And we have received 8 awards.
