The School of Information and Computational Sciences was founded in September 2013 in the College of Science, which was rated as one of the key disciplines in the Zhongyuan University of Technology. Now there are 13 faculties in total, all Ph.Ds, which includes 1 professors, 7 associate professors. There are 5 recipients of the Natural Science Foundation of China, and 4 associate professors of the High-level Personnel of Special Support Program for Zhongyuan University of Technology. In addition, 4 faculties have overseas experience.

The range of research in the School of Information and Computational Sciences covers Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations, Computable Modeling, theoretical computer science, Numerical Algorithms and Mathematical Theory, Computational Optimization, etc.

The department aims to cultivate high-level specialized professionals that are proficient in both mathematical and computational theories and modern techniques on information science and computer science.

Thanks to the efforts of mathematicians of College of Science, the School of Information and Computational Sciences has evolved distinctive characteristics and advantages in personnel training and scientific research and has made contributions to build the Zhongyuan University of Technology “first-class discipline”.
